COMPANY history

Adanac Pattern Shop's founding master craftsmen began producing industrial wood patterns way back in 1959.

They were the brainy, beer drinking artistes of the West Coast Foundry Industry. Designing from the inside out they had to see what no one else saw and had yet to exist. Once cast in metal, their hand tooled patterns became the earth movers, boring drills and bridge spans still in use throughout North America.

The 1980's and 1990's saw Adanac Pattern bustling to keep up with British Columbia's dynamic growth. New workers apprenticed under the founders and began taking over as their successors.

In the early 2000's the company started taking a modern turn with the the automation of machine tools and the advent of CNC (Computer Numerical Control) routers.

This recent history has been led by owner and master pattern maker Tim Olson. Tim has spearheaded the company's growth into a "Precision Pattern Shop" capable of servicing both our traditional base and new clients in the Entertainment, High Tech, and Clean Energy Industries.

Today we continue to strive for the best quality and highest value solutions using a combination of our old school craftsmanship and leading edge CNC technology.
